On Friday, 3 July 2026, the environmental organization CALLISTO held a participatory workshop in Prespa, within the framework of the LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors project.
On Saturday, 4 July 2026, a series of events organized by the environmental organization CALLISTO took place in Chaliki, Aspropotamos, as part of the Trikala–Meteora Bear Smart Community, within the framework of the LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors project, focusing on human coexistence with wildlife.
During the monitoring visit of LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors – a formal moment to verify that what has been done so far by the partners is consistent with the plans and rules of the European Commission – the role of bear-smart communities for human-bear coexistence in the central Apennines was strongly emphasized through testimonies, field visits, and official moments.
