“You cannot bluff if there is a theatrical civilization, and theater is a great civil force; theater removes the cowardice of living, it takes away the fear of the different, the other, the unknown, of life, of death.“
Leo De Berardinis, actor and theater director
Theater is a powerful tool for communication, as it is able to convey messages and provoke thought in a broad audience in a light, entertaining, and persuasive way.
With this premise, the partners of LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors Rewilding Apennines, the Abruzzo, Lazio, and Molise National Park, and Salviamo l’Orso have collaborated with Renato and Oreste Capoccia from the Aedo Studio theater company, which has written and staged “Condominio selvaggio” (Wild condominium), a work in which the boundaries between humans and bears are very thin.
Brilliantly performed by five young actors—Gloria Agostino, Lavinia Tringali, Mauro Serra, Moreno Vallo, and Francesco Ferrari—the story speaks of perceptions, relationships between individuals, both human and ursine, conflicts, and coexistence, all with a modern, dynamic, and highly ironic rhythm.
On November 23rd, at the end of the event “Bear-Smart Community: are you there?”, dedicated to the community of Campoli Appennino, the première of “Wild condominium” was held in the municipal auditorium. The performance was met with great enthusiasm from the audience, who showed their appreciation for the production with applause and laughter.
In 2025, “Wild condominium” will reach all the Bear-Smart Communities of the Central Apennines! Continue to follow LIFE Bear-Smart Corridors to discover the event calendar!
