Rewilding Apennines is looking for a Chamois Field Officer!
Thanks to specific sponsorships, Rewilding Apennines is working in collaboration with Carabinieri Biodiversità of Castel di Sangro and the Sirente Velino Regional Park to monitor some populations of the Apennine chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata) e to plan some releases of the species on the Sirente Velino mountain chain.
The Chamois Field Officer is a person who loves field activities, knows well the species, is motivated to achieve the conservation objectives and is accurate to manage data and procedures. Moreover, he/she is graduated in Conservation biology or similar, knows well the software to collect data in the field (GPS), to manage the data in the space (GIS) and their statical processing.
It is essential that the Chamois Field Officer lives in the Apennine region, has own car and knows English very well.
The part-time contract will last 12 months and the details are reported in the Terms of Reference.
